My Story

Time to tell my whole story. It has been a remarkable journey navigating the American system since birth, still stumbling over obstacles as an adult today. People seem to think I arrived at my present state by some stroke of luck. It’s been a lot of sleepless nights figuring out how to survive in this world, protecting my family, and just trying to have peace. I’m still working. The George Floyd protests shook me up. I’ve picked my battles wisely, often acquiescing for the sake of other people. And, here we are — a complete mess. I care about the world we are leaving for our children. I’ve seen a lot of problems with an unjust system. I’ve seen a lot of opportunities too. You will be invited into my life.
